Vintage Talsint Flatweave / 250 x 143 cm

This vintage flatweave from the Talsint region carries a quiet rhythm, an abstract, tribal hum echoed in lozenge upon lozenge, each one knotted with humble precision and layered over a field of soft striping.

Woven in a consistent palette of faded carmine rose, burnt orange, pale ice blue, grey, and charcoal, the piece balances warmth and restraint. Each lozenge contains a small diamond at its heart and similar motifs dance freely along the borders like scattered notes of a forgotten song. There is no symmetry to tame it, just the weaver’s instinct guiding form and color into a textured improvisation.

The entire composition feels both ancient and spontaneous, its structure softened by age, its spirit intact. Finished with short fringes, this textile stands as a lyrical example of the freeform artistry of the Eastern High Atlas.
