Vintage Talsint Flatweave / 215 x 128 cm
This expressive vintage flatweave from the Talsint region is small in size but rich in character, a quiet yet compelling composition that speaks through color, form and ancestral abstraction.
Woven on a base of gently faded rose red, the piece carries soft striping in silver grey, orange and a muted purple that hums rather than shouts. Scattered across the field are branch-like motifs in piled knots, echoing organic forms, perhaps trees, perhaps memories, rendered in the same delicate palette. Their irregular rhythm creates a visual whisper, unmistakably tribal, deeply rooted in the artistic freedom of Eastern Moroccan weaving.
A checkered border provides subtle containment, while short clustered fringes ground the piece with a handmade finish. Though modest in size, its visual language is expansive,equally at home on the floor or as a hanging textile, radiating both history and quiet strength.
