A one-of-a-kind vintage Beni Ouarain and a true collector’s item. Generously sized and superbly preserved, this rug is a testament to the artistic mastery of its weaver. Its field glows in natural ivory wool with soft whispers of light beige, subtly shifting with the light.
What sets this piece apart is its intricate composition, a near-symmetrical network of double-lined lozenges, small and precise, forming a pattern reminiscent of a beehive. Each diamond is thoughtfully connected by a delicate square motif, while one side is adorned with a flanking string of miniature lozenges, a quiet yet confident creative gesture.
Dark double-sided borders frame the piece with elegant restraint. Finished with a fine flatweave band and long, braided tassels, this rug is a poetic balance of complexity and calm.
