Vintage Azrou Kilim / 390 x 137 cm
A vintage kilim from the Azrou region, this piece carries a soft-spoken elegance, like a memory preserved in color and thread. Its romantic palette of pale blues, soft pink, emerald green, and burnt red flows across a field of white, delicate yet vibrant, creating a composition of large central lozenges framed by strings of miniature diamonds that dance along the borders.
The design feels like a gentle symphony, each hue placed with care, every motif in harmony. Precision and symmetry speak of the weaver’s mastery, yet the overall impression is effortless, like patterns appearing in nature.
Once, this kilim may have shimmered in celebration, adorned with tiny metal sequins, now carefully removed to preserve the wool from rust, leaving only the memory of their festive sparkle. The clustered fringes at both ends remain loose and wild, though we’re happy to braid them for a neater finishing if desired.
A runner-sized piece that feels both ceremonial and intimate, woven with grace and intention.
